When you call 911 our dispatchers are automatically provided ANI/ALI on the console screen. This information includes the address, phone number, and resident's name.  This is crucial in the event a person is unable to speak. It is important for the caller to remember that just because we receive the information does not mean that it is 100% correct 100% of the time. This is the reason the dispatcher will still inquire the address, phone number and the caller’s name.

What you should do when calling 911:

Here are some tips when calling 911. These will hopefully help you help us help you:

  • Speak clearly. At times our dispatch center can be noisy with radios and other equipment.
  • Know the location of the emergency and telephone number you are calling from. We will verify this information even if it is provided through the 911 system.

Be ready to help someone in need. We may ask you to help an injured or sick person
